Still developing the overall shape around the edge with the flames. I need to move them around so there isn’t overlapping and weird spots. The station number will be fixed at the top area of the head and the “Gresham Fire Station” will be wrapped around the bottom. Should I incorporate a orange color with the flames or just keep it simple with the red and black? I’m also going to add some more shaping elements to the face to give it more depth…

Adding more color variations would be good (orange, yellow, white).
I like the general idea, but it feels pretty rough at this point.
This is a full-color thing, don’t be afraid of adding color.
The fringe around the outside feels more like ‘sun’ or even foliage, than flames.
Try having them generally curl upwards, smaller ones at the bottom, larger towards the top.
The eyes are going to be critical to selling the attitude of the character.
Right now, they’re a bit cartoony (the shapes underneath feel like bags… a tired dragon)
The nose is very cloud-like, not sure you need to complete the line up and over the top.
I think the features of the dragon could be sharper overall.
Get the type in place ASAP as it will change everything.
Keep going!
